Option 1: Delete Your Account In the App
- Open the FreeCV app.
- Sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to the Profile screen.
- Select Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion request. If requested, re-enter your password.
Option 2: Request Deletion by Email
If you cannot access the app, send an email to betaapplicationsnet@gmail.com with the subject line:
FreeCV Account Deletion Request
Please include:
- The email address used for your FreeCV account.
- A short confirmation that you want your FreeCV account and app data deleted.
- Any additional information needed to identify the account if you used Apple, Google, or another sign-in method.
Data Deleted
When your request is processed, we delete or de-identify app data associated with your account, including:
- Account profile data stored by FreeCV.
- Saved CVs, resume content, templates customizations, and generated documents.
- Uploaded files, images, screenshots, and imported document data where stored by the app.
- Portfolio or smart CV records created in the app.
- Job applications, career goals, gap analyses, AI analyses, and related app records.
- App usage records tied directly to your user account where deletion is technically feasible.
Data That May Be Retained
Some information may be retained where required or permitted by law, including:
- Purchase, subscription, tax, refund, fraud prevention, or compliance records handled by App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, or related providers.
- Security logs needed to prevent abuse or protect the service.
- Data that has already been de-identified or aggregated so it no longer identifies you.
- Backup copies for a limited period before automatic deletion.
Processing Time
We aim to process deletion requests within 30 days after verifying the request. Some backup or provider-side records may take additional time to expire according to normal retention cycles.
Subscription Cancellation
If you have an active Premium subscription, you must cancel it through the platform where you purchased it:
- iOS: Settings app > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
- Android: Google Play Store > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions.
