1. Service Description
FreeCV helps users create, edit, translate, analyze, export, and manage resumes and related career documents. The app may include AI-powered tools, interview practice, career roadmap features, format conversion, templates, ads, rewarded ads, and optional premium subscriptions.
2. User Responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of the content you enter, upload, generate, export, or share through the app. You should review all AI-generated content before using it in job applications or professional communication.
3. AI Features
AI-generated suggestions are provided for convenience and productivity. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your specific situation. FreeCV does not guarantee employment outcomes, interview success, hiring decisions, salary results, or career progress.
4. Ads and Rewarded Access
FreeCV may show ads. Some actions may be available to free users through rewarded ads. Ad availability is not guaranteed and can depend on platform, region, network status, ad inventory, and third-party ad providers.
5. Premium Subscriptions
Premium is optional and may provide benefits such as an ad-free experience, higher usage limits, and extra productivity features. Subscriptions are processed by App Store or Google Play and may renew automatically unless canceled according to the store's rules. You can manage or cancel subscriptions from your Apple or Google account settings.
6. Payments and Refunds
Payments, billing, refunds, trials, renewals, and cancellations are handled by the relevant app store. FreeCV does not directly process payment card information. Refund requests are subject to App Store or Google Play policies.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or abusive purposes.
- Upload content that infringes the rights of others.
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, ads, subscriptions, or security controls.
- Reverse engineer, copy, resell, or misuse the app, templates, or services.
- Use automated systems to overload, scrape, or disrupt the service.
8. Intellectual Property
The FreeCV name, app design, software, templates, branding, and related materials are owned by the developer or licensed service providers. Users retain responsibility for their own CV content, but receive no ownership rights in the FreeCV software or assets.
9. Account Deletion
You can delete your account from within the app or request deletion using the public page at /delete-account/. Deleting your FreeCV account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. You must cancel subscriptions through your store account settings.
10. Disclaimers
The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device, file, resume format, or job application system.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreeCV and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost opportunities, lost profits, hiring outcomes, data loss, or decisions made based on app or AI outputs.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
