1. Information We Collect
FreeCV may collect the following types of information:
- Account information, such as email address and authentication identifiers.
- Profile and resume data voluntarily entered by users, including name, contact details, education, experience, skills, languages, projects, certificates, photos, and other CV content.
- Files, images, screenshots, or documents uploaded for CV import, conversion, analysis, or AI-assisted features.
- Career-related content such as job applications, gap analyses, interview practice data, career goals, and generated suggestions.
- Purchase and subscription status provided by App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store full payment card details.
- Usage, diagnostics, crash, performance, device, and app interaction data used to improve reliability and security.
- Advertising identifiers and ad interaction data when ads are shown through advertising partners such as Google Mobile Ads.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Create, edit, save, export, and manage resumes and related documents.
- Provide AI-powered CV, translation, analysis, interview, and career guidance features.
- Process rewarded ad access, premium status, usage limits, and subscription-related features.
- Maintain account security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Improve app performance, user experience, and feature quality.
- Comply with legal, tax, fraud prevention, and app store requirements.
3. AI Processing
Some features send user-provided content, such as CV text, job descriptions, prompts, or uploaded document text, to AI services through our backend or Cloudflare Worker proxy. This is done only to provide the requested AI feature, such as CV improvement, translation, analysis, or career guidance.
4. Ads and Rewarded Ads
FreeCV may show ads, including rewarded ads that allow free users to access certain actions. Advertising partners may process device identifiers, approximate location, ad interactions, and diagnostics according to their own policies. Users can manage ad personalization through their device or Google/Apple account settings.
5. Subscriptions and Purchases
Premium subscriptions are optional and are processed by App Store or Google Play. Subscription status may be synchronized through RevenueCat. Payment information is handled by the relevant app store, not by FreeCV.
6. Third-Party Services
FreeCV may use third-party services, including:
- Firebase services for authentication, database, storage, analytics, messaging, crash reporting, and performance monitoring.
- Google Mobile Ads for ads and rewarded ads.
- RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management.
- Cloudflare for secure backend proxying and infrastructure.
- AI service providers for requested AI-powered functionality.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share data with service providers only as needed to operate the app, process subscriptions, provide ads, deliver AI features, improve reliability, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.
8. Data Retention
User account data and CV content are retained while the account is active or as needed to provide the service. If a user deletes their account, account data and user-generated content are deleted or de-identified within a reasonable period, usually within 30 days, unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, tax, or app store compliance reasons. Backup copies may persist briefly before automatic removal.

10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data. However, no internet service is completely secure, and users should avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information.

FreeCV is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
12. International Users
Data may be processed in countries other than your own, depending on the infrastructure and service providers used to operate the app.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
